Welcome to Stone Town Council
Stone Town Council was set up in 1974 following the reorganisation of Local Government. It is the Parish Council representing the urban area of Stone.
The local council comprises eighteen elected Councillors, five representing St Michael’s Ward, five representing Stonefield and Christchurch Ward, three representing Walton North Ward and five representing Walton South Ward.
Council meetings are open to the public and are usually held in the Council Chamber at 15 Station Road, Stone, ST15 8JP.

Stone Town Council offices are currently open to the public from 9:00am to 1:00pm on Monday to Friday.
Office staff are however contactable by telephone on Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Heritage Centre
Stone Heritage Centre is open to the public on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 11:00am to 4:00pm.

Christmas Holiday Arrangements
The Town Council offices, Frank Jordan Centre (for room hire) and Stone Station Community Centre (for room hire) will close for the Christmas holidays on Tuesday 23 December 2025 at 5:00pm and reopen on Monday 5 January 2026 at 9:00am.
Stone Heritage Centre will close for the Christmas holidays on Saturday 20 December 2025 and reopen on Thursday 8 January 2026 at 11:00am.
